How to Install YS Voice Packs on Yamaha Genos or PSR Series
In this article, you will find instructions on how to install voice packs for Yamaha Genos and PSR series keyboards. The procedure is outlined in the following steps.
Prepare Yamaha Expansion Manager (YEM)
- Download and install the latest version of Yamaha Expansion Manager (YEM) from the links below:
- Once installed, open YEM and register your keyboard by exporting its Instrument ID file to a USB drive and importing it into YEM.
Add and Select Voice Packs
- Open YEM on your computer.
- Click
Importand choose the voice pack file (.ppf) you want to install. - Mark the desired packs with a green checkmark.
Export Installation File to USB
- In YEM, export the selected voice packs as a
.ppifile to your USB drive.
Install Voice Packs on Your Keyboard
- Insert the USB drive into your Yamaha keyboard.
- Navigate to the installation menu and select
Import Pack. - Install the
.ppifile.
Restart and Enjoy
- Restart your keyboard to finalize the installation.
- Your new voice packs are now ready to use!
